Abstract
The Semaines internationales d’étude pour l’enfance victime de la guerre (SEPEG), founded in 1944 in Switzerland, contributed to the redefinition of medical and social assistance for children victims of the war in Europe. A two-week-long «advanced course» held for European doctors, psychologists and social workers and taught by Swiss instructors specialized in child psychiatry or child psychology, was set up by their medical-psychological section from 1946 to 1949 in Lausanne. Its aim was to reinforce the technical training of the participants, to encourage contacts between the different specialties and to develop a spirit of international understanding. Based on archives, this article clarifies the objectives of these courses, paying particular attention to the networks of professionals who participated in them, while evaluating what they produced. It details the «interdisciplinary» dimension and the content of what these specialists call «medical-pedagogical teams».
