Abstract
The academic performance measured each year by SIMCE shows that results differ depending on various social attributes. Most studies on this topic show the relevance of social class. This research extends the analysis of class to another form of social stratification such as gender, as both categories have an impact on students' skills and educational abilities who are formally included in the educational field. We conclude that, in the sites surveyed, inequality of educational privileges has perpetuated under these two variables, evidencing an educational system which discriminates against girls, primarily those in conditions of greater social vulnerability.
