Abstract
A major challenge to the Swiss health system is policy coordination, notably between the cantons and the national government as well as between curative and preventive aspects of health policy. To respond to these challenges, the cantonal and national governments adopted a national strategy to prevent non-communicable diseases in 2016. The strategy is now being implemented.
