Abstract
Oct. 5-8, 1988, we organized with Prof H. Masson, G. Stampfli and A. Steck the fourth Himalayan-Karakoram-Tibet workshop in Lausanne and we edited the Conference Proceedings, published in Eclogae Geol. Helv., vol. 82,2 (1989). With 90 participant and 35 communications, this fourth meeting confirmed at that time the success of the HKT researches. An exhibition on the Himalayan researches undertaken in Lausanne was also exposed at the University, in space close to the meeting.
