Abstract
The Dogger (Bajocian-Lower Bathonian) has been dated for the first time
in the internal Limestone Dorsale of the Rif by means of ammonites and
radiolarians. It shows radiolarian and nodular limestone facies. It is
concluded, then, that radiolarian sedimentation began during the Dogger
in this realm, and that a drowning of the `'Ghomaride margin'' occurred
at that time.
