Abstract
New ages (U-Pb isotopic data) on zircon and monazite in the pre-Alpine
basement of the Penninic realm (Valais, Switzerland) are presented. They
are related to a Variscan metamorphic high-grade event (ca. 330 Ma) and
to post-Variscan magmatic activities (ca. 270 Ma).
