Abstract
This paper studies the relationships between the book and digital technologies by analyzing several artist books that interrogate the advent of the digital, from the influence of the internet to the use of the screen. Artists such as Benjamin Shaykin, Paul Soulellis, Joachim Schmid, Masaki Fujihata, or Camille Scherrer reflect upon the upheavals induced by the digital in artist books that link page to screen, that question the relationship between digital and print.
From the artist book to be read on a smartphone to augmented reality books, these works offer a new space, a space located beyond the book, between real and virtual, which allows a new approach of the book as a multi-sensory experience.
