Our respective research projects examine democratic issues from a variety of angles, with three
three main directions. The first of these focuses on the way in which
the way in which the exercise of citizenship in a democracy is conditioned by access to languages

● Access to the language of power (sub-Saharan Africa)
● Appropriating language as a resource: migrants and social action (Switzerland)
The second focus is on the production of social discourse linking languages and
citizenship, through two projects:

● Discourses on language teaching and the 'feeling of citizenship' (Europe).
Finally, the third focus is on social intervention, with the presentation of
a joint project in Switzerland on the assessment of migrants' skills, from an ethical perspective
