Abstract
Atrial tachycardias (ATs) arising after atrial fibrillation ablation are mechanistically macroreentrant or focal-source (including localized reentry) ATs. They are usually more than 1 and occur in succession as ablation subtly converts one AT to another. This article discusses rare forms of AT such as double ATs with coexisting similar or different mechanisms, AT coexisting with sinus rhythm, and a focal-source AT mimicking macroreentry. These unusual cases underscore the importance of careful mapping and observation during the invasive procedure and show how ablation modifies the atrial substrate harboring the ATs.
