L'article se focalise sur la dimension imaginaire de la pratique du football dans les milieux populaires d'Abidjan et souligne son importance au niveau onirique à travers l'analyse des appellations choisies pour nommer les centres de formation de la commune de Yopougon. Six catégories d'identification prépondérantes (« professionnelle », « idéalisée », « géographique », « à la jeunesse », « à la nature », « au leader ») sont mises en évidence et analysées en fonction des valeurs qu'elles véhiculent, qui vont de la modernité à l'enracinement, des besoins qu'elles expriment, qui varient de l'intégration à la réussite, et des influences qu'elles subissent, tant par « le dedans » que par « le dehors ».
The article focuses on the imaginary dimension of playing soccer in Abidjan's popular neighborhood and underlines its importance at the oneiric level for the youth by the analysis of the names given to soccer Academies in the municipality of Yopougon. Six main categories of identification ("professional", "idealized", "geographical", "to youth", "to nature", "to the leader") have been highlighted and analyzed according to the values attached to them, going from modernity to rootedness, to the needs that they express, varying from integration to success, and to the influences exerting on them, from "the outside" as well as from "the inside".
