Le plateau technique constitue aujourd'hui le coeur de tout hôpital, en particulier tertiaire. Centre de compétence, de technologies, d'innovations mais aussi de pouvoir et d'attrait, il est le lieu d'une activité hétéroclite et pointue nécessitant un personnel et une organisation adaptés. La cardioradiologie interventionnelle, l'électrophysiologie et l'endoscopie en sont les principaux moteurs et se sont développés rapidement, parfois au coup par coup, chacune dans leur discipline, conduisant à des organisations disparates et peu optimales.
Dans cet article, nous donnons l'exemple du centre hospitalier universitaire Vaudois à Lausanne (37 000 patients, 7000 collaborateurs, un budget de 600 millions d'euros, 17 000 équipements biomédicaux d'une valeur de 130 millions d'euros) qui démarre une réorganisation profonde de son plateau technique interventionnel. À l'aide de différents outils (interviews des chefs des services, réalisation de fiches techniques des locaux, etc.) et d'une analyse de l'activité, des propositions qualitatives (nombre de salles endoscopiques et de lits à l'hôpital de jour) et architecturales (estimation des besoins en surface et organisation des locaux) ont été émises. Le projet va donc pouvoir se poursuivre par la rédaction d'un dossier de crédit d'étude avec comme objectif, la fin des travaux pour l'horizon 2016.
Nowadays, the technical program represents the heart of any hospital, in particular tertiary ones. The core of skills, technologies, innovations but also of a magnet power, it is the place of a varied and cutting-edge activity requiring specific personal and organization. Interventional cardioradiology, electrophysiology and minimally invasive medical procedures - endoscopy - are the main driving forces of the technical program and were developed quickly, though sometimes on an ad hoc basis, each in their own discipline. Such organization is disparate and rarely optimal. In this article, we give the example of the University Hospital of Lausanne (37,000 patients, 7000 employees, budget of 600 million euros, 17,000 biomedical instruments costing 130 million euros) which is currently initiating a deep reorganization of its technical program. By means of various tools such as interviews with the heads of service and inventories of the rooms and through a thorough statistic study based on the activity, qualitative suggestions (number of endoscopic rooms and beds) and architectural proposals (estimation of space needs and organization of the premises) have been put forward. The project will be pursued with the redaction of a new file for study credit with aim the end of the project in the horizon 2016. The project will be pursued and aims to end approximately in 2016.
