Abstract
We read with great interest the article by Sugioka et al, which describes the Glissonean approach based on the concept of Laennec's capsule [1]. We would like to congratulate the authors for their excellent work, comprehensively demonstrating the surgical anatomy of the liver and standardized techniques of the systematic extrahepatic Glissonean pedicle approach.
