Résumé
The present paper aims to extend and enrich previous flow literature by providing a broader coverage of all characteristics of the flow construct. Based on that, the authors distinguish between antecedents, facets and consequences of flow and investigate their conceptualization in three studies. The results suggest excluding the common used facet Control from further conceptualizations. Additionally, the authors employ several approaches for modeling multifaceted constructs according to Bagozzi and Heatherton (1994). The findings show that the partial aggregation model and the two total disaggregation models are feasible depending on the investigation objective. Finally, the authors discuss the implications of the findings for theory and practice and provide directions for further research.
