The Institute of Forensic Sciences (Institut de Police Scientifique) of Lausanne and the Scientific Service (Wissenschaftlicher Dienst) of Zürich maintain on a common database, which aims to collect analytical data from Ecstasy tablets seized in part of Switzerland and to exploit the data for intelligence purposes. The comparison of measured characteristics between tablets from different seizures highlights links between different investigations and can be helpful to resolve police cases.
