Patients frequently discuss with their psychologist the communications they had with their oncologist, especially when they have had a strong impact. Three clinical cases illustrate the complexity of such communications, which depend on the actors involved and on the situations and cannot be easily standardized for that reason. The role of the psychologist toward the patients is to help them integrate this communication. For the physicians, it would be to allow them to qualify better their communications to the patient.
