Résumé
Le potentiel des données collectées sur les comprimés Ecstasy saisis en Suisse : (1) Tendances du marché
The Institute of Forensic Sciences (Institut de Police Scientifique) of Lausanne and the Scientific Service (Wissenschaftlicher Dienst) of Zürich maintain on a common database, which aims to collect analytical data corresponding to the Ecstasy tablets seized in parts of Switzerland and to exploit the data for intelligence purposes. The following information is recorded: case information, external characteristics, chemical composition and active substance. The spatial and temporal distribution of the measured characteristics delivers a more global view of the traffic, and allows rapid detection of the appearance of new substances on the illicit market. The highlighted patterns indicate also the usage tendencies and bring useful information for public health organisations.
