Résumé
As Lauren Storck herself says, the purpose of her paper (see record 2005-07210-015) is to discuss 'one woman's group-analytic understanding of larger groups and issues of conducting larger groups in our interconnected and interdependent world'. In insisting on the feminine specificities of listening, of understanding and of conducting groups, she demonstrates a creative approach to the understanding of the effects of therapist gender on process. Since I read Lauren Storck's paper, I must say that I often find myself thinking about it during group sessions. I used to be an analyst leading a group. I am now a male analyst listening to a group.
