On moving from the analysis of a spiral procession which takes place in Corsica on Good Friday, the essay attempts to reconstruct the historic-cultural complex yielding to the christian Easter liturgy. By resorting to the comparison extended both to contemporary folklore and to the ancient civilization of the Mediterranean, the research arrives at isolating an ideological configuration dominated by the agriculture-death-regality connection, the meaning of which the labyrinthic symbol has represented for centuries.
