Résumé
This chapter focuses on how Alice Rivaz explores Love. The analysis is about how Rivaz has self-consistently undermined love as the straightforward ideal it was supposed to be. Paying attention to how women are encouraged to regard it as the cornerstone of their lives, Rivaz interrogates the role played by love in making women consent to- and participate in their own subjection. Then, this chapter also addresses the way Rivaz dealt with the taboos of her time: homosexuality and sexual desire.
