Abstract
Caregiving is complex. While it is not easy to admit that the process can be refused by the patient, it is no easier when it is refused by the patient's family. Accepting this fact is however an essential stage in the relational and care processes. The family must therefore be supported by professionals in order to be able to make an enlightened choice.
