Abstract
Measles outbreaks are currently being reported worldwide. Outbreaks occur regularly in in the 6 WHO regions, including in high-resource countries such as Switzerland. In a globalized world, checking and updating measles vaccination should be a systematic practice during travel medicine consultations and general health checks before travel, including for travels withinEurope. Furthermore, measles should also be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients returning from travel, regardless of age, destination, and vaccination status, if they present with symptoms such as fever and rash, particularly in the context of an epidemic.
