Abstract
Study of 1249 routine urinalyses showed that proteinuria-, leukocyturia- and hematuria-detecting dipsticks are fully reliable. Dipsticks therefore render superfluous microscopic examination of normal samples, which represents more than half of the analyses performed in ambulatory care.
