Abstract
Implementation of tight glucose control in a large mixed
adult ICU significantly decreases the proportion of hyperglycemia, and
maintained extremely low rates of hypoglycemia. These results strongly
suggest that complete transfer of competence for tight glucose control
to bedside nursing is safe and efficient.
