Abstract
This snapshot of practice reflects on how persons with chronic illnesses may raise awareness of the problems they face through theatre performance. Using forum theatre, a methodology that actively engages audience members in finding solutions, a troupe of non-professional actors with epilepsy created a theatre show on stigma experienced in the workplace. The snapshot will show two solutions proposed by the audience to combat epilepsy stigma and show in particular the importance of resource persons to bring forth creative changes. In this contribution, it is also suggested to adapt the original forum theatre methodology to allow oppressed persons to play a more active role in problem solving.
