Abstract
The island of Hydra contains one of the most fossiliferous
sequences of Permian rocks in the western Tethys. The
Permian sequence is at least 500 m thick and ranges in
age from Asselian to Dorashamian. The succession is not
complete as several unconformities are present. It is subdivided
into three groups containing ten formations,
