Accurate diagnosis in lymphoproliferative diseases results from a combination of investigations: histopathology, immunostaining, and molecular and genetic analyses [1-4,101,102]. Different lymphomas now have different treatment protocols and, in the future, specific therapies will require the identification of specific target molecules [1-4,101,102]. The prognosis for the patient with lymphoma is determined by the precise histotype of lymphoma, its stage and other biomarkers, including a number of prognostic indicators that must be assessed by immunohistochemistry or molecular genetic analyses.
